AFECT

Hilltribes have a valuable and ancient culture, which should be preserved. They are part of humankinds ethnic and cultural idenity but isolation between indiginous groups causes vulnerbility. This project emphasizes the exchange of knowledge between the international mekong community, to build strength in unity, and create bilatural partnerships.

Declaration, issued the Murmansk Declaration establishing that “the Saami are one
nation, and interstate borders will not be allowed to break the unity of our peoples, and
that the Saami nation has a right to self-determination”.

For the first time in its history wAFECT has foestablished the NEW INTERNATIONAL MEKONG FORUM. This is headed by an international commitee of Doctors, Members of State, the Army. and tribal Cheifs. The MEKONG INTERNATIONAL FORUM has been sponsered by XXX bringing together these groups. In 2009 the commitee agreed to start our programme tackling trafficking of women and the exploitation of migrant workers. We are also implimenting education and health projects.
